Providence RPC is organizing another mini-Reformed conference this year on Saturday, June 11, from 1-4 pm.  Last year, we had Rev. Dr. Andrew Young.  This year, we are privileged to have the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Kim come and speak to us.  Dr. Kim is currently the leader of the Mission to the World (MTW) team in Cambodia (MTW is the international missions agency of the Presbyterian Church in America).  He is a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary California and Fuller Theological Seminary.  Prior to his present stint in Cambodia, Dr. Kim and his family served in the Philippines.  (For more information on Dr. Kim, look here.)

True to his area of Kingdom work, Dr. Kim will be speaking to us on the topic of missions.  A summary of his two talks are as follows:

Seminar I: Grace as Motivation for Missions: This is a reflection on Matthew 5:13-16, exploring our identity in Christ and its implications for our witness to the world.

Seminar II: Eschatology Redefining Our Priorities: This is a reflection on Matthew 6:19-24 recognizing that we live in between the overlap of the ages and its implications in where we invest our time, energy and resources.

The Conference will be held at our church venue. It is free, though an offering would be collected to help defray the costs.

We look forward to seeing you at the Conference.
